What are bronchial spasms?

Bronchial spasms are also called bronchospasm. It refers to the condition in which the airways narrow or constrict, and thus make it difficult to breathe.

As for the cause, bronchospasm is usually a result of allergies, cold, environmental irritation, or medications.

When it occurs, the signs and symptoms include: wheezing (a high-pitched noise when breathing), shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, and chest tightness.
