Vitamin D3, also called cholecalciferol, is a type of vitamin that helps absorb calcium and phosphorus to build and keep strong bones. Although the body produces vitamin D3, it’s not enough sometimes.

Therefore, you may take vitamin D3 as a medication. However, the dosage is important.

Recommended Dosage:

    • Capsules: 5000 IU once a day
    • Solution: 1000 IU once a day or 2 times per day
    • Wafer: 14,000 IU once a week for 6 weeks
  • Children:
