P.S. A user called Vinny kindly asked why beer was listed low in purine here, and high in the rest of the articles on the internet (see the question here). Thank you Vinny for the great question. It made us think again. The reason is that, beer is actually low in purine; people advise against drinking beer because the alcohol in it could make your gout worse.
