Back pain is a possible symptom of having kidney stones. Kidney stones are not the real stones, they are hard deposits which are made of salts and minerals in your kidney. If the stones are very small, they may not cause symptoms, but when they grow to more than 5 millimeters, there will be some symptoms.

The possible symptoms of kidney stones include:

  • Restlessness.
  • Sweating.
  • Vomiting.
  • Severe pain in your back.
  • Pain in the lower abdomen.
  • Pain radiates to groin.
  • Pain on urination.
  • Red, pink or brown urine.
  • Hematuria.
  • Urinating small amounts.
  • Cloudy or foul-smelling urine.
  • Urinary urgency.
