For people with high blood sugar, the intake of carbohydrates should be limited. Eating foods with a low glycemic index (low GI foods) can help them lower blood sugar.

There is a list of commom foods with a low glycemic index :

  • Rice, such as Basmati, Doongara, long-grain and brown rice.
