Hepatitis B is a serious liver infection caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV). It can be spread by blood, semen, or other body fluid infected with the hepatitis B virus.

Some people may be not aware that they are affected. If you think you might have been exposed to hepatitis B virus, please contact your doctor or your health department. You can take a simple blood test to know whether you get Hepatitis B.

If the result is positive and if you could get hepatitis B vaccine within 24 hours of exposure to the virus, the infection could be prevented.
