For Small Fiber Neuropathy: “Lyrica was great at putting 50 pounds on me within 3 months and making me feel drunk but it didn’t touch the pain caused by small fiber neuropathy. I just felt drunk, stupid and fat and still had debilitating aches in my feet and hands. Then it took me a year to shake off those pounds. Thanks Lyrica! Not.”

Lyrica (pregabalin) for Fibromyalgia: “I have suffered with Fibromyalgia for over twenty years and when Lyrica was recommended for use by FM patients, my life changed drastically. Actually, the first time I tried it, the dosage at 75mg/day wasn’t nearly enough to tell any difference. Then my doctor bumped it to 75mgX3/day and that did it. I got off the couch, but ate everything in sight. I decided I would rather have a few extra pounds and have a life, than not take Lyrica. Last year, my new Doctor switched my Rx to 150mgX2/day and I’m feeling even better! I have taken the weight off bc I’m so much more active now. Seriously, if Lyrica wasn’t available in the US, I’d move to where it was!”

Lyrica (pregabalin) for Fibromyalgia: “This takes time to feel the results but it did work for me. I tried other ones but no luck. Thx”

Lyrica (pregabalin) for Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy: “I have had diabetic neuropathy severe leg pain for 15 years. One year ago I started with Lyrica and it only helps fully if I take it with my Tramadol that I was previously on. Taking those two together gives me about 95% pain relief. Before starting Lyrica and tramadol I had been on gabapentin which after 3 years stopped working for me at all. As far as lyrica side effects I had immediate weight gain and increase in appetite and swollen feet legs hands face and fingers but I guess that’s the price I had to pay because without the pain relief I finally received I would have soon killed myself.”

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder: “Incredibly effective for me. I am usually anxious driving in snow and bad weather to the point of panic attacks. I was prescribed Lyrica, which I thought was mainly for pain, and found my anxiety all but gone, on multiple trips. It doesn’t make me reckless, I still pay close heed, but I no longer feel intense anxiety. It also helps my anxiety in social and work situations. It’s not 100%, but so much better than benzos, BuSpar or other meds I’ve tried. I often think “this is what normal feels like”.”

Lyrica (pregabalin) for Neuropathic Pain: “I’ve been on lyrica for 12yrs and it still works great for me. I’m on 300mg 2x a day. Side effects are crave sweets, sleepiness, can’t find words sometimes and short term memory is off sometimes. My neuropathy in hands and feet/legs is so much better on this drug, I almost don’t believe the people who say it don’t work cause it dose very well. It helps with opiate withdrawal as well. Lyrica has a severe withdrawal though. I’ve just been so pleased with the pain decrease from lyrica.”
