O&P Testing

O&P (Ova and Parasite) Test is taken to check if the symptoms such as diarrhea, are caused by a parasite. The results are presented in the number of the parasites in the stool.

What are the possible results?

No parasites are seen: the symptoms may be due to other causes. Additional tests help determine the condition.

Parasites are identified: the person has a parasitic infection. Usually, the symptoms are caused by one parasite.
