Symptoms of Aortic dissection

Symptoms of Aortic dissection are similar to heart attack, typical symptoms include:

  • Sudden severe chest or upper back pain, the pain feels like tearing, ripping or shearing, that radiates to the neck or down the back
  • Sudden severe abdominal pain
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Shortness of breath
  • Symptoms similar to a stroke, sudden difficulty of speaking, vision loss, weakness or paralysis of one side of body
  • Weak pulse in one arm or thigh compared with the other
  • Leg pain
  • Difficulty walking
  • Leg paralysis
