What are the causes of lymphoma?

Until now, the causes of lymphoma remain a question. However, the disease has something to do with lymphocytes, a kind of disease-fighting white blood cells. When these cells develop genetic mutations, both healthy and diseased cells start to rapidly multiply. It is when lymphoma occurs. Meanwhile, the duration of these diseased cells tend to live longer through mutation. As a result, too many diseased lymphocytes exist in one limited space and the lymph nodes begin to swell.

Other risk factors of lymphoma include age, gender, impaired immune systems and certain infections.
