What are the causes of RHD?

Rheumatic heart disease (RHD) is a kind of heart disease started with rheumatic fever among children or young adults, especially between ages 5 and 15 years old. This group of people get strep injection but are left without treatment. Then the disorders, such as strep throat, scarlet fever, and body inflammation, lead to rheumatic fever which can make the body itself attack its own connective tissues, especially those in the heart, joints, skin, or brain. RHD is also caused by this disease, which leads to poor functioning of the heart and, over time, heart failure. However, those symptoms related to the heart may take years to be noticed.
