What Causes Type 2 Diabetes ?

Diabetes is a disease related to insulin. To figure out the causes of type 2 diabetes, we should know the pancreas in the first place. Pancreas is an organ behind the stomach, and releases insulin, helping our bodies store and use the sugar from meal and snacks.

For a healthy person, pancreas produces insulin in a balanced way. Once the balance is broken, you may get the diabetes. Diabetes happens when one or more of the following occurs:

1. When the pancreas does not produce any insulin.

2. When the pancreas produces very little insulin.

3. When the body does not respond appropriately to insulin, a condition called “insulin resistance.”
