What are the treatments of Hodgkin’s lymphoma?

At different stages of Hodgkin lymphoma, the related treatments vary for better results. General treatments for Hodgkin lymphoma include:

  • Chemotherapy
  • Radiation therapy
  • Immunotherapy (including monoclonal antibodies)
  • Stem cell transplant

Among these treatments, chemotherapy and radiation therapy are the main ones used to treat the disease. Sometimes, these two treatments are also used together. When these two treatments fail to work, your doctor may turn to immunotherapy or a stem cell transplant. However, surgery is rarely used during the treatment of Hodgkin lymphoma.
