What is advanced metastatic pancreatic cancer?

Advanced (metastatic) pancreatic cancer is a cruel disease, also called end stage pancreatic cancer. By the time the cancer grows to the advanced or metastatic level, it has spread from the pancrea to other more important organs of the body, most commonly: lungs, bones, liver, lymph nodes, protal vein, etc.

It is usually hard to prognose metastatic pancreatic cancer. The pancreatic cancer at its early states usually reveals few symptoms and by the time it is diagnosed, it is already too late. The life expectancy of patients in their advanced stages is usually 6-8 months.
