The ethyl glucuronide (ETG) test is the test for detecting the presence in urine of ethyl glucuronide. The ETG test is quite sensitive and can detect even low levels of alcohol in the urine up to five days after consumption.

The ETG test is widely used to detect alcohol abstinence in situations which do not allow drinking such as liver transplant patients, alcohol treatment programs, attorneys, airline pilots, healthcare professionals, DUI or DWI program, etc.
