High blood pressure is the most common cardiovascular disease. And it’s also known as hypertension. Blood pressure is the force of blood pushing against your artery walls as it goes through your body. High blood pressure may hurt your artery and bring about some serious conditions like heart disease and stroke. Serious high blood pressure left untreated can lead to vision problem, heart attack,  kidney failure and heart failure.

The blood pressure can be calculated by a blood pressure monitor. When you have checked your pressure, a reading appears as two number, that is, top number and bottom number. Normal blood pressure for an adult is about 120/80.

People whose blood pressure number is or over 130/80 are people of high blood pressure. and they had better ask their doctors for a check and take doctor’s advice. People whose blood pressure is or over 180/20 shall take medical treatment at once.
