Junctional tachycardia is a form of supraventricular tachycardia. It is characterized by the AV node involvement. Junctional tachycardia is usually associated with digitalis toxicity. It can be caused by acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, administration of theophylline and conduction system diseases with enhanced automaticity.
