The genetic mutation turns normal, healthy cells into abnormal cells. Healthy cells grow and multiply at a set rate, eventually dying at a set time.

Obesity, hypertension, late menopause are also potential risk factors of endometrial cancer. Studies show that high level of estrogen in animals result in excessive endometrial growth and cancer.
