What’s the Vaginal Discharge Like in Cervical Cancer?

Q:

Cervical cancer causes abnormal vaginal discharge. I want to know what the discharge looks like.

A:

Vaginal discharge is often a normal and regular occurrence, but for women with cervical cancer, it usually turns abnormal. This abnormal discharge is caused by infection due to cervical cancer. The color looks weird and it is with a foul odor.

Some cervical cells may die off due to the lack of oxygen in a person with cervical cancer. Thus the tumor is infected. This infection is the cause of the foul smelling of the discharge. The abnormal discharge is continuous. It may be watery, pale, yellow, brown or reddish (with blood).
