A:
The skin is the largest organ of the body. It helps regulate body temperature and protects humans from microbes among other functions.

Skin consists of 3 layers:

  1. Epidermis. This is the outermost layer. It prevents liquids from entering gives the skin the color it presents.
  2. Dermis. It’s the second layer. This layer has sweat glands and hair follicles.
  3. Hypodermis. Hypodermis is the deepest layer. It consists of connective tissue and fat.
